absolutely classic, although i'm no hacker i really understand the benefits of their work, from geohot to anon.. from start to finish sony have failed to realise that the attention they are bringing to such news is attracting more negative than posative responce, for me personally it has re-enabled playback of my legit games, as my drive is not working properly, the rip off merchants at sony wanted £130 to resolve.. instead a modifed update re-enabled functionality of the console for gaming. the loosers have since disabled psn functionality becuase i could potentially be a pirate..
do I have to send proof of purchase? some screen shot of my disc/cover? I wish I'd not bought black ops now for ps3.. i finished single player easily and want to play online..
oh well, if i want games, i'll buy them on PC (if poss) or xbox360 (as sony ruind ps3)
Quote: Anonymous is not attacking the PSN at this time. Sony’s official position is that the PSN is undergoing maintenance. We realize that targeting the PSN is not a good idea. We have therefore temporarily suspended our action, until a method is found that will not severely impact Sony customers.
The best thing what sony made is the good old ps1 xD I still got it and it also work
I have ps2 since 1st month of release and it still works without having to service it! I am hoping to keep it long enough to make its value really high!

Due to the PlayStation Network's recent security failure, it was only a matter of time before legal action came against Sony. Kristopher Johns, a local California man, strikes first in the legal arena by filing a class action lawsuit against the electronics conglomerate. The man appears to be taking Sony's breach of security extremely serious and is coming at them with a team of six lawyers from two separate law firms.
The legal team is alleging Sony has violated or breached the following:
(1) VIOLATION OF BUSINESS & PROFESSIONS CODE §17200; (2) VIOLATION OF BUSINESS & PROFESSIONS CODE §17500, FALSE OR MISLEADING STATEMENTS; (3) BREACH OF SONG-BEVERLY CONSUMER WARRANTY ACT; AND (4) VIOLATION OF THE CONSUMER LEGAL REMEDIES ACT; (5) BREACH OF EXPRESS CONTRACT; (6) BREACH OF IMPLIED CONTRACT; (7) VIOLATIONS OF SECURITY REQUIREMENTS FOR CUSTOMER RECORDS, CIVIL CODE
